Worldguide Interviews http://www.worldmind.com/interviews/interviews.html

Sometimes the Web is a place to catch up on something you missed. Missed the last episode of "Melrose Place"? Click your way to a Web site summary. Didn't catch the score on the last Sharks game? Find it on the Web. The Worldguide Interviews page is that kind of page. The site features transcripts of interviews that originally aired on the Futurist Radio Hour on KUSF FM Radio out of San Francisco.

You can read the thoughts of authors like Paul Theroux and Isabel Fonseca or peruse the ponderings of actors like Amanda Plummer and Alan Arkin. Some fairly weighty thinkers have also checked in. Run by Scott Roat out of Stinson Beach, the page is easy to use, even if the graphics seem unnecessarily intricate and slow to load. It's all there, every word, even if you missed it on the air.

Why? What were you thinking?

Roat: At the time that Worldguide was conceived, there was a lot less lifestyles-type entertainment on the Web. Worldguide and the Futurist Radio Hour decided to put these offerings on the Web because of Stephen Capen's unique ability to draw out the inner, more casual sides of these public figures.

How does your page add to the betterment of society?

Roat: By providing provocative ideas, juicy gossip, and life observations by meeting with as many great minds as possible.

How many hits are you getting?

Roat: Worldguide, collectively, has been enjoying 8,000 to 10,000 hits each day for the last five months.

What's next for your page?

Roat: To combine the Worldguide content with Real Audio technology to offer the interviews in multiple formats.
