Worldguide's current offerings include:
James Ellroy
James Ellroy is one of the hardest hitting novelists to come down the pike in quite some time. His machine-gun style, Jazz-rhythmic cadence, and seduction with the underworld and crime have thrust him to the forefront of the genre. His latest book, however, is hard-boiled fiction on a personal landscape: the same set of mechanics applied to the brutal murder of his mother when he was 10.

James Hillman: Worldguide Interview Number Two
James Hillman and Worldguide got on so well that we were invited back.
James Hillman is regarded as the elder statesman of depth psychology, having labored to revision the ideas of the great theorists, Jung, Adler and Freud, and has come to be known as one of the 20th century's seminal minds. The celebrated lecturer and cultural critic has authored twenty books, working with other well known figures on the cultural landscape such as Thomas Moore and Robert Bly.
Stephen Capen's provacative questions and Hillman's delightfully gripping responses make for a lively discussion. His runaway success, The Soul's Code, has launched him into the spotlight as a public figure as well as a prolific author.
Worldguide -- December 13, 1996
Stephen Bogart
Stephen Humphrey Bogart, son of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, never knew his father, who died just a few years after his birth. It left a substantial void in his life, particuarly since Bogie was -- still is -- one of the most talked about personalities in American life. And this is how he pieced it together. After years of working various media jobs he became a writer, and his consistent preference for being an introspective loner is now in full force as he unveils his third book.
Worldguide -- October, 1996
Paul Auster
Well-known novelist, Paul Auster, is known for his whacky life comedies and pecuiliar perceptions. Director Wayne Wang lured Auster into producing "Smoke," a delightful film starring Harvey Keitel.

Phil Borges
A couple of years ago photographer Phil Borges went to the Himalayas to document the life of a people who embody compassion to its fullest, despite living under the brutal occupation of the Chinese for nearly 50 years. His trek was intended to create a piece of political photojournalism, the epic struggle for human rights, but instead Borges chronicled the Tibetans in a heart-rending portrait of the power of compassion, people who regard their enemies as "precious jewels."

Futurist Radio Hour -- December 24, 1995
Isabel Fonseca Among a number of authoritative studies on the subject of gypsies worldwide, Isabel Fonseca's "Bury Me Standing" ["...I've been on my knees all my life," from an old Gypsy proverb] stands out as the definitive work. Fonseca, a columnist for the Wall St. Journal and Assistant Editor for the Time Literary Supplement makes her home in London, lived with a Gypsy family for a summer where she had to be bathed by the daughters-in-law only and generally found herself walking into a world of conflict in the world's largest oppressed minority. Stephen Capen spoke with her by phone during a visit to New York.
Futurist Radio Hour -- December 6, 1995
China Galland
China Galland discusses the Black Madonna -- a mysterious image of divinity -- throughout many cultures and the ages, the goddesses' sublimation among white Western culture, and current traditions which still venerate the female Buddha in the modern world.
Worldguide -- December 5, 1995
Paul Theroux
Paul Theroux, the prolific author of novels that include "Chicago Loop" and "Mosquito Coast" and travel books such as "The Old Patagonian Express" has taken a look at the countries and cultures that ring the Mediterranean, from Gibraltar through the Balkans and back to Tangier, including conversations with American expatriate author Paul Bowles and Naguib Mafouz. His itinerary is never known to him, and his picture of the world is not one of plush resorts, slaphappy tourists, and ancient ruins in the tradition of the Grand Tour, but rather of life at street level. Stephen Capen spoke with him in a phone interview from his home in Hawaii.
